: a movement in literature, music, art, etc., featuring futuristic or science fiction themes which incorporate elements of Black history and culture.
My Afrofuturism project is a picture book of Afrofuturism, a genre-transcending time and space, inviting us to reimagine African culture's past, present, and future. Inspired by the pioneering work style of Lois Mailou Jones, particularly her evocative pieces "Initiation, Liberia" and "Moon Masque," she did the work with collage and pattern style.
In my exploration of Afrofuturism, I've researched the history of African people and created visual images that speak to the resilience and creativity of the African diaspora.

People in Africa developed well in cultural and environmental areas. As time passed through the years and centuries, Africans suffered many sufferings. War, violence, and invasive species made Africans what they were not used to be.

And they have bravely fought for their culture, life, existence, and religion. So, in the end, they won their battle with the world.

Through many past, African people made a great future with unlimited possibilities in the future—a balanced life without racism, violence, pain, and division.
The narrative arc of my Afrofuturism project unfolds like a mythic saga, tracing the evolution of a people from the dawn of civilization to a future brimming with boundless potential. At the heart of this narrative lies a celebration of the indomitable spirit of African culture, a testament to the resilience and creativity that have fueled our journey through time.
Central to my artistic practice is a stylistic homage to the traditions of African expression, with a focus on intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and balanced compositions. Through these elements, I seek to evoke the spirit of hope and empowerment that has long defined their journey, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a world where the past, present, and future converge in a dazzling display of creativity and imagination.
Through my work, I aspire to shine a light on the African diaspora's hidden histories and untold narratives, reclaiming our place in the cultural tapestry of humanity and inspiring others to dream boldly of the world yet to come. In Afrofuturism's kaleidoscopic universe, I find solace and inspiration, a reminder that African stories are limitless and their potential infinite. Each collage serves as a portal into a realm where the boundaries of time and space are blurred, inviting viewers to join me on a journey through the depths of imagination and possibility. With each piece, I want you to embark on a voyage of discovery, where the echoes of the past mingle with the dreams of the future, and the possibilities are as boundless as the cosmos.
