Arrest

Out-of-hospital arrest 👉🏽 9% survive to return home (despite 30% achieve ROSC initially)

In-hospital arrest 👉🏽 24% survival

Out-of-hospital

25% - shockable; 75% - non-shockable (50% asystole and 25% PEA)

In-hospital

18% - shockable (50% return home), 73% - non-shockable (only 14% return home)

Defib within 3-5 min of collapse can produce survival rates as high as 50-70%.

Each minute of delay to defib reduces the probability of survival to hospital discharge by 10-20%.
