Big Idea: (Luke 18:1–8)

Faith refuses to quit... even in circumstances that would seem reasonable to give up. A person who prays always and doesn’t give up is marked by relentless persistence, radical specificity, and a faith WORTH FINDING…

Luke 18:1

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

THREE CHARACTERISTICS OF A PERSON WHO PRAYS ALWAYS + NEVER GIVES UP:

1. PERSISTENT

Blockage: Discouragement (delay… silence… temptation to quit)

Luke 18:7

7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

Breakthrough: Persistent faith refuses to quit. What it looks like:

• Keeps coming back to God
• Prays when circumstances look impossible
• Trusts God’s timing… without walking away

Big Idea: Persistent prayer is faith stretched over time.

2. SPECIFIC

Blockage: Unbelief (I don’t ask because I don’t believe He’ll answer. I don’t seek because I don’t think I’ll find. I don’t look to Him because I’m afraid.)
