Rari is governed by the community of its RGT token holders. Contributors are organized in independent working groups called taskforces with their own goals and visions. Taskforces are autonomous in choosing and collaborating with contributors, spending their resources and making decisions to fulfill their visions. They periodically report their activities to the DAO, and request additional resources if needed.

Currently, there are 3 taskforces:

Key mechanisms of Rari Governance

Off-chain governances develops amongst community members through regular community calls, Discord and forums where member can discuss, express their opinion and work towards forming consensus. Moreover, each taskforce has its strategy to onboard new members and communicate with the broader community.

Governance is then taken on-chain through Tally, a governance platform controlled by RGT holders and forked from the most famous Compound’s GovernorBravo governance system. The platform supports delegation of votes and has responsibility in setting parameters for Rari products, managing contract interactions, upgrades and resource allocation.

On-chain governance is responsible for setting critical parameters in various Rari Capital products, managing contract interactions and upgrades, and allocating resources to the taskforces.
