Principles

Mutual Respect

Respecting each other, no matter what team or level you are on or what role you have, is the foundation of cross-team communication. It is important to listen to teammates, take into account their interests and boundaries, even in situations when you donā€™t see eye to eye.

Equal team value

No team is more or less valuable than the other - all of us are making an equal contribution to Superdaoā€™s development. We appreciate each teamā€™s role and effort. We inspire each other and celebrate each othersā€™ success!

Collaboration

Collaboration is crucial to us! All of us are striving for a common goal. Our work is rooted in collaboration so that we can achieve amazing results together.

Superperformance

We are always reaching for the maximum result, we have high expectations for ourselves and for our teammates. We exchange feedback and try to push each other to higher levels.

What do I do if ā€¦

I want to set a task for another team

  1. Think through why you are setting this specific task for this specific team. If you can give a clear answer to this question, go on to the next step!
  2. Contact the manager of this team, explain the essence of the task and the terms in which it needs to be completed. If it is necessary, you can arrange a sync. The manager will appoint a person responsible for the task on their team.
  3. Share with the teammates all the resources required for the completion of the task (access, contacts etc.)
  4. Donā€™t check out after setting the task: stay in touch, inform about updates, provide all the needed support.
  5. When the task is completed, donā€™t forget to thank the teammates!

I got a task from another team

  1. Make sure that you clearly understand the essence of the task and its deadline. Ask as many questions as you need. There are no stupid questions!
  2. Make sure that you have all the resources required for the completion of the task (access, contacts etc.). If you donā€™t have them, ask for them.
  3. Build in public! Share early versions of your work and ask for feedback.
  4. If there is a problem that you can't solve yourself, ask for help. Don't wait! If you were appointed to solve this task, it doesnā€™t mean that you have to complete it all by yourself.
  5. Work to the best of your ability and be on time :)

Advice for effective collaboration

<aside> 1ļøāƒ£ Giving orders is not our style of work! Discussing and looking for compromise is more our jam as it is more effective.

<aside> 2ļøāƒ£ Speed is everything: fewer syncs, more asynchronous communication. However, if there has to be a sync, be there on time and wrap it up early!

<aside> 3ļøāƒ£ It is important to look for an individual approach to every teammate to ensure successful collaboration.

<aside> 4ļøāƒ£ Remaining calm even in case of stressful situations ensures success. Our emotions are something that we are in control of. It is important to keep your mood separate from your work communication.

<aside> 5ļøāƒ£ If you feel really uncomfortable during an interaction, speak up! All of us have a different level of empathy and some of us can miss the signs suggesting that the other person feels uneasy.

I have a big-scale project. How can I unite several teamsā€™ efforts?

  1. The managers have a sync session: they discuss the task, how everyone can be beneficial to solving it, what opportunities there are.
