Introductory email feature request

**What do you want to be able to do?**Make it more explicit for users to :

• opt in for communications about the Innovation Gateway: news; notifications when new datasets have been onboarded; notifications of when new functionality has been released; and other proactive comms.
• indicate their willingness to be contacted by the Gateway team to gather feedback to help wit improving the Gateway for users

**Why is this important?**Current consent message on the user profile implies any consent is just in relation to a user’s individual account and any content they have posted themselves.*“I want to receive email notifications about activity relating to my account or content”*There’s a question therefore whether this provides us with the authority to use it for broader comms to help drive usage etc.

User feedback is something we want to capture but there's no simple & safe way of identifying which users are happy to be approached for feedback. This simple addition would make this much more effective

Any suggestions for how we could solve this? Four suggestions:

1. Broaden the existing consent box to make it more explicit that is also covers proactive comms
2. Add another check box enabling people to opt in/out
3. Add another check-box enabling people to indicate their willingness to be contacted for purposes of feedback

It would probably be worth amending the wording for the current consent box if any of these changes are made to ensure it's explicit enough
