<aside> ❓ Sometimes, when uploading your CV and Resume into our Applicant Tracking System with a different format to PDF can cause disruption within it and a delay on Application Review. At Remote, we take Candidate Experience seriously and therefore we want to keep disruptions to application review to as little as possible. See below ways you can convert your CV into a PDF document for a smooth sailing process of your application.

From a Google Doc to PDF:

  1. Open your CV Google Document

  2. On the upper left corner there is a bar - within it you can find the tab “File”.

  3. Click on File. Search for Donwload. Click download as PDF. The new PDF file will be within your Dowloads folder in your laptop.

  1. Now, you can submit your .pdf CV! 💜

From a Microsoft Word Document into PDF:

  1. Choose File > Export > Create PDF/XPS.

  1. If the properties of your Word document contains information that you do not want included in the PDF, in the Publish as PDF or XPS window, choose Options. Then select Document and clear Document properties. Set any other options you want and choose OK.
  2. In Publish as PDF or XPS, navigate to where you want to save the file. Also, modify the file name if you want a different name.
  3. Click Publish.
