Do you want to disrupt the last untouched area of financial services?
Lloyd's of London is a 330-year-old undisturbed insurance and re-insurance market. Brit Insurance Group, one of Lloyd's of Londons foundational members, has taken aim to drive innovation through new technologies, business models, and products to bring the insurance industry forward from 1688.
Through BritX - Brit Insurance Group's internal innovation team - we've successfully launched Ki Insurance; Ki is the first fully digital and algorithmically-driven Lloyd's of London syndicate offering instant capacity, accessible anywhere, at any time.
Continuing from the success of Ki, BritX proudly presents Project Appia. Project Appia believes the key barrier for a true digital transformation within the insurance industry is clean, structured data. The current manual document-led processes promote perpetual inefficiencies and expenses while stifling market growth. Through our extensive experience successfully launching Ki and institutional standing, we're perfectly positioned to drive a digital transformation in this space.
Building on years of research, alongside our initial Google partnership, we've produced a proof-of-concept and are solidifying an MVP. You'll have a forward impact on enabling a digital and data-led commercial insurance ecosystem through the normalization, standardization, and extraction of data from legacy methods of communication in the Lloyd's of London market.
Project Appia is a Greenfield project, and you'll be part of the first round of hires forming our core Engineering team. This role will work with the wider Brit Innovation Team and report to the Engineering Manager for Project Appia, contributing to scalable and functional solutions to best fulfil business needs and ambitions.
We're big believers in using the right tool for the job with a focus on outcomes over output. We're taking our first steps towards an MVP, but here's a snapshot of our foundations:
