Around the time when I was working to make my own organization flat, I was always looking for systems we could use.
Back in the day it was really difficult to find anything about how to create and run orgs without hierarchies.
There was one consulting firm, that was doing really interesting work, helping companies who wanted to become "flat".
They were called Undercurrent and they did a lot of interesting work.
For their own organization they had developed what they called the "Skills maturity matrix."
Essentially a level system that people could use to assess themselves - and each other.
This is a short article about what that is and how it works.
While not directly relevant, something like this, adapted for a FlocDao skillset might be interesting, to use in conjunction with the roles outlined in the FLOC*DAO Notion doc.
