What is an induction dish and how does it work?

The induction dish uses electromagnetic technology to directly heat pots and pans placed on the surface of ceramic glass induction cooktop. Magnetic waves penetrate the vessels, and the resulting magnetic resistance releases heat. By comparison, standard radiation-heated coil strips on a similar heat-resistant surface, which in turn heats the cooking utensils.

Only containers with magnetic conduction can be used on the induction tray. If no magnetic connection is available, no heat is generated, so induction trays are very safe. Some of these trays feature virtual flame technology for an even more familiar feel, but glass trays still give off residual heat, which is why they also have a warm surface indicator.
