A ReFi Local Node is a community that meets regularly to learn, experiment and implement ReFi tools and solutions on the ground with the aim of building a local regenerative society in their country, city, town, or village. There are a number of core activities a local node is encouraged to explore:

  1. Host regenerative local events
  2. Publish regenerative media (blog, articles, whitepapers, podcasts etc…)
  3. Map the local regenerative society
  4. Build open-source software
  5. Raise value-aligned capital
  6. Acquire land and other real-world assets
  7. Develop land-based regenerative projects
  8. Showcase regenerative projects at COP

Of course, these are just recommendations and each node is encouraged to cultivate regeneration in a way that honors their local context.

Local regeneration

A local node is rooted in a specific place with a long-term commitment to realize a shared vision of regeneration.

Leaders are encouraged to co-create this shared vision with key stakeholders across all three sectors of society:

By bringing leaders of these institutions together, we believe we can create a unified vision for a brighter future, not only for our children but for generations to come...

Objectives

Local nodes are designed to fulfill three core objectives:
