Users have a quick and easy option for citing a source for content by using the Magic Citation tool.

Adding Citations with the Magic Citation tool

After accessing the edit mode of a topic page (click the 'Edit' button in the top right corner of the page), highlight the content you would like to cite the source for:

Once you have highlight the text, select the 'Cite' button in the editing toolbar at the top of the page.

Next, enter the URL of the source you are using into the first field with the blue magic wand.

Golden AI will now parse the required information for the citation fields for you and give you a preview of how the citation will appear on the topic page.

Once you have reviewed the information that the Golden AI has produced, click 'Add'.

Edit the citation range

If you would like to edit the range of a citation, you can drag the outer edges of the highlighted area to accurately display the exact claim that is backed up by the citation:

Citing sources adds verifiability and credibility to Golden articles while providing easy access for the reader to find additional information. Properly formatted and placed citations are an important component of any quality Golden page.

Go into edit mode on a topic page and find the content you wish to cite.
