The Role

As our first Finance hire, you will play an instrumental role setting up Zed Philippines’ accounting and treasury functions, reporting directly to the CEO. In the near term, you will manage outsourced service providers, and as we scale our operations, you will help grow the internal finance team, bringing core functions in-house.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee all aspects of finance, including:
  • Accounting
  • AP and payroll
  • Cash management
  • Tax filings & registrations
• Manage external finance service providers (e.g. bookkeeping, tax, payroll), and assist in selecting new service providers as needed
• Coordinate with external auditors
• Have primary responsibility over the Company’s books and accounts and sign off on financial statements, reports and attestations
• Manage liquidity / cash balances at banks
• Assist with financial forecasting
• Produce various finance-related regulatory reporting requirements for the BSP, SEC and other agencies as needed
• Assist in testing or monitoring various risk mitigation measures and controls to ensure that Zed remains compliant to its regulatory obligations
• Plan strategically for the future of the finance team at Zed, ensuring appropriate and reliable processes, systems and internal controls are implemented as we scale

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in finance roles with a Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with accounting / audit of Philippine Banks or lending institutions required
