AWS Organization is a tool used to manage Multiple AWS Accounts

Steps:

1. Log into the Root Account

2. In the search bar, serch for AWS Organizations or just Organization

   • Select AWS Organization from search result

   

3. Select Create an Organization

   • Select Create an Organization

   Nb: the First account created becomes the root management account also known as the management account.

   

To Add Other AWS Accounts

1. Click Add an AWS Account

   

   You can Create a New AWS Account or Invite an existing AWS Account

   

2. Select Create an AWS Account

   • AWS Account name: Eg: Development Account, Developer’s Account, Production Account.. e.t.c

   • Email Address of Account owner: (A Different Email that hasn’t been used before)

   • Add an IAM Role Name. the Management account can use the IAM role to access resources in member accounts.

   • Select Create AWS Account

     

To Access The New AWS Account

Steps:

1. Log out and try Logging in as a root user using email eg.: Development Account or Staging Account Email Above
2. Enter the new email address used to create a Development/Staging Account (Subsidiary Accounts) Above
3. Select Forgot Password to get link for Password Reset in your email
4. After resetting password, you can sign in as root user
5. Enter verification code and log in.
