Describe the problem we're trying to solve by doing this work.
The current filter functionality only supports native filters, and does not have ways to search for instance by a field you added during survey creation. We believe this is an important feature for many deployments, and are looking forward to bringing this to Ushahidi Platform. At the time, the assumption is that we would first fix search and do an overhaul of how it is handled on the backend, and then improve the field filters themselves to include custom fields.
