Scope

This SOP covers how to identify which prompts are worth saving, how to write them so they work consistently, and where to store them so you can actually find them when you need them.

Works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and most AI tools that accept text prompts.

Procedure

Step 1: Identify tasks worth saving as prompts

Look for tasks you do at least twice a week that follow a similar pattern.

Good candidates:

• Email responses to common client questions
• Social media captions for specific content types
• Meeting notes summaries
• Blog post outlines
• Client onboarding documents
• Project kickoff templates
• Research summaries

Not worth saving:

• One-off tasks you'll never do again
• Tasks that change completely every time
• Simple tasks that take less time to do manually
