Zoog is an early stage, well funded startup that is creating a new format of storytelling. Through our intuitive tools, anyone can bring a children's book to life and become part of the story using AR masks, filters and lenses, sound effects and animations. The end result is video book reading experiences that were never seen before. Experiences that kids will love to watch and grandparents, parents, or even educators will love to create for them.

We are looking for a creative & talented 3D Artist to join our awesome team. Working closely with our designers and product teams, you will be designing 3D models that will be used to create AR masks and filters that will be incorporated into the Zoog experience and will enable us to bring our children's books to life.

The Job

The candidate will work closely with the founders as well as with our design and product teams to design and create the 3D models (end to end) preferably through Blender, that will later be used to produce AR masks.

The primary tasks

• Work closely with the development team to ensure timely execution and alignment on tasks
• Supply the face in a main mesh and props in another (the props mesh should come after the face mesh).
• Supply two different UV maps; one for the main face, the other for the props.
• Supply texture maps to each mesh
• Supply Multiplier map that exposes the mesh over the face. (White -> Mask, Dark -> Face).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in 3D modeling using Maya / Blender / or 3DS Max (preferably Blender)
• Experience with digital sculpting tools such as ZBrush
• Experience with Photoshop
• You should be able to morph a rigged face ( with Deform, Blend mesh) to a required character face (e,g. transform it into an animal face).
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and have strong project management skills
• Take ownership; when a task or an area of responsibility resides with you, we trust it will be driven to completion, on time and to high quality
• Think strategically, but with a bias towards shipping.
• Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback, and meet tight deadlines
