Session Overview

Sam reviewed the launched spokes and called them thin and boring: no images, no split header, no sidebar, bad SVG illustrations. He asked for /copywriting-and-design + /design-critique governance, scroll-based animation and JS, good imagery, research depth (/firecrawl-deep-research, /bright-data-mcp, /seo-dataforseo), /frontend-design, and gave standing approval: go live with changes as I proceed.

What Shipped (all LIVE)

1. Hub card images live on 22782: three photo card headers (corridor, resident room, records) replacing flat SVGs.
2. All five spokes rebuilt (build-spokes-v2.py in wp-stage/) on a shared template governed by the copywriting-and-design skill: visible breadcrumbs, split photo hero (image card + ALL-CAPS centered H1 + lede + device-aware CTA: GET STARTED desktop → hub form, CALL NOW mobile with phone icon), On This Page dropdown, main + aside.sa-sidebar rail (dark call card, Save These Now checklist, related links), scroll-reveal animations (IntersectionObserver, transform/opacity only, prefers-reduced-motion respected, jump-scroll fallback), navy stat bands with Foundry-orange numerals, tables, numbered step lists, closing CTA band. No FAQ sections, no em dashes, banned words avoided.
3. Seven new images (Higgsfield soul_2, editorial dim/navy/warm style, optimized 10-60KB webp, uploaded with alt text): warning-signs family (73734), tipped walker corridor (73735, regenerated to remove AI-garbled note), wound care tray (73736), rehab therapy gym (73737, regenerated for exposure + parallel bars), records room (73738), plus 3 hub cards (73691/73692/73695). Walker + gym files replaced in place on the server after regeneration. Featured images set on all five spokes.
4. New sourced content: CDC falls data (1.7 falls/resident-year, 2x community rate, ~1 in 5 fall deaths) on falls page; HHS OIG SNF adverse-event study (1 in 3 harmed, 59% preventable, 3 causes) on rehab page; CDC NCHS Data Brief 14 (11% prevalence) + CMS long-stay quality measure on bed-sores page; Kentucky reporting facts + numbered How To Report steps (1-877-KYSAFE1, online portal, KRS 209.030/216.515) on warning-signs page; provider/legal/chain name explainer band on facility-records page.

QA Trail

• qa_gate full render initially FAILED all 5: sidebar-sticky — Sam's 6/11 rule (no sticky sidebars, see bulk-rebuild wave_destick.py). Removed sticky, redeployed, re-ran: 0 FAIL on all five (WARNs are context-allowed terms only).
• Live playwright visual QA desktop+mobile: CLEAN on all five (reveals resolve, no broken images, no overflow). Screenshots: wp-stage/live-qa-screenshots-2026-06-11/*-v2-*.png.
• IndexNow resubmitted all six URLs: 200.
• Caches purged each deploy (WP Rocket dir + Redis + Varnish w/ X-Forwarded-Proto + Cloudflare).

Tool Notes

• Firecrawl, DataForSEO, and Bright Data MCPs were NOT connected in this session; research was done via WebSearch with primary sources (cdc.gov, oig.hhs.gov, cms.gov, chfs.ky.gov) linked inline in the page copy.
• Ahrefs API units nearly exhausted this cycle (~100 left); avoid Ahrefs calls until reset.

Open Items

• Hub (22782) still carries its FAQ section + FAQPage schema; the copywriting-and-design skill bans FAQ sections. Removing is a deletion → needs Sam's call.
