Importance: Low to Medium (routine daily pulse; flagged QA: Open only because two improvement questions await Sam's decision).
Run UTC: 2026-06-12T11:04:51Z. Backlog count as of 2026-06-12T11:04:54Z. Task state: pulse run is DONE; the two QA questions below are PENDING Sam's input.
What was done
- Ran notion_paged_query.py (v3 REST helper) over the SAIL KB. All 8 buckets returned has_more=false, so counts are true totals with zero cap hits.
- Built the pulse report with build_report.py (253 lines, under the 300 cap).
- Mirrored the report to: Documents/Codex/SAIL-KB-Daily-Pulse_2026-06-12.md, workspace root ~/SAIL-KB-Daily-Pulse_2026-06-12.md, and QA queue Documents/Codex/_qa-queue/2026-06-12-sail-kb-daily-pulse.md.
Numbers
- Total unique entries (deduped): 585. Active 239, Needs Follow-up 274, In Progress 51.
- Live backlog (Needs Follow-up) 274 from live_notion_status_query, matches the three follow-up buckets (93 + 140 + 41).
- Stale Active (last edit over 7 days): 226 (40 more hidden by wp-cron-health tag).
- New entries last 24h: 39.
- Trend vs 2026-06-11: Total +24, Active +1, Needs Follow-up +14, In Progress +3, Stale Active +3.
Why the session ended
Scheduled task completed normally. No blockers. Vault, Notion REST, and Python all resolved on the first try; no missing tools, permissions, scopes, or location access.
QA Recommendations Pending Approval
Both Option A choices would change a recurring task or skill, so they need Sam's approval before they are applied. Nothing was auto-applied.
Q1. Recurring automated logs are inflating the Needs Follow-up backlog. The backlog is 274 and rose +14 vs yesterday; many of the newest Section B items are recurring automated logs (Daily Briefing, Daily Repo-Health, SAIL KB Daily Pulse, Daily KB follow-up/drift scan, Daily Litify GCLID audit) created with Status = Needs Follow-up and never closed.
- A (recommended): Have the daily scheduled-task logs, including this pulse, write Status = Complete or a dedicated Logged status instead of Needs Follow-up, and let needs-followup-triage auto-close prior-day recurring logs older than 2 days.
- B: Keep Needs Follow-up but add a recurring-log tag and exclude tagged logs from Section B counts, like the wp-cron-health exclusion.
- C: Leave as is; 274 is a true count and triage is handled elsewhere.
