What improved

• Identified the active surface as /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Projects/Repos/sail-command-center.
• Confirmed the local app was still running in mock mode, which means the visible homepage can still look healthy while showing stale demo numbers.
• Patched src/app/api/cron/connectors/route.ts so local development can refresh Connector OS persistence without CRON_SECRET, while production still requires Authorization: Bearer $CRON_SECRET.
• Added route coverage in src/app/api/cron/connectors/route.test.ts and updated README.md, docs/architecture.md, and docs/connector-linking-model.md to match the new contract.
• Ran the local cron refresh successfully and verified it now returns authorization_mode: "local-dev-open" plus a new persisted snapshot timestamp.
