Session Overview

This 17-turn session ran from 2026-05-25 (21:45 UTC) to 2026-05-28 (13:09 UTC). It started as a competitive analysis of Simmons and Fletcher (Houston personal injury firm) to produce a practice area hub page mockup that matched their wins without copying their voice. The session went through three major design iterations, a near-crisis where Sam discovered the page had not been published after he gave the order, a broken-image audit and fix, copy tweaks, and a final addition of a two-card hero with TOC, snippet, and sidebar. The page is live at the end of the session but Sam indicated the hero/first section was still boring.

Tech stack: WordPress on Cloudways, Kadence theme, RankMath SEO. Site: aguiarinjurylawyers.com. Practice areas hub: /practice-areas/ (post ID 48, protected page).

What Was Accomplished

  1. Competitive analysis: Pulled Simmons and Fletcher car accident and truck accident pages. Noted real wins: 4 ld+json blocks stacking 9+ schema types, specific local data with year and source, embedded attorney video per page, 10 named crash sub-types as H3 long-tail link targets, 13-link related resources cluster. Assessed our car-accident page at approximately 1,250 words (below the firm's 2,250-word floor).
  2. Blueprint document (sa-practice-page-mockup-v3.md): Comprehensive section-by-section plan for a car accident page redesign, 3,200-3,600 words, 7 body component types, 3-block schema stack with 6 types, "Where Louisville crashes happen" section modeled on S&F data move but anchored to KSP/KOHS data and named Louisville roads, 10 Louisville crash-type H3s, KY-edition crash report reading block, 8 KY-anchored long-tail FAQs.
  3. v2 mockup (SA-Practice-Areas-Mockup.html, SA-Practice-Areas-Mockup-v2.html): First pass at the hub page. Sam rejected it as boring, rules-violating, lacking creativity, using illustrative icons, missing real images, having lowercase headers.
  4. v3 redesign (SA-Practice-Areas-Mockup-v2.html updated): Pulled real site imagery (office exterior, bokeh highway, Sam portrait, 3-attorney group shot), used real saved-skill components (sa-trust-badges-grid, sa-commitments-grid, sa-bsg-banner, sa-as-featured-in, sa-cta-image-banner, sa-review-break), fixed $500M+ figure (from $200M+), fixed header casing. Sam noted headshot appearing 3 times and cropped each time.
  5. Headshot issue fixed: Sam-Website-Home portrait was a tall portrait used in short wide slots; the 3-up image strip was removed or replaced, Sam portrait replaced with landscape images in split sections. object-fit:cover + object-position:top applied.
  6. Published live (Turn 10): Sam ordered publish. Agent pushed to WP via REST API. The live /practice-areas/ page (post ID 48) got the new content. WP header/footer/nav wrap the new content. Mobile renders clean. But four broken images found immediately: trucking section (bokeh highway not loading), serious injuries section (office building not loading), As Featured In press logos missing, trust badges missing.
  7. Broken images fixed (Turn 12): Image URL audit run. New image map:
  8. Hero subhead changed (Turn 13): "Every type of motor vehicle crash and serious injury case we handle across Louisville, Lexington, and the Commonwealth. Find your case type below." changed to "Injured? Here are some of the injury cases we handle for clients across Kentucky."
  9. Life-Changing Results ticker (Turn 14): Replaced broken ticker with canonical sa-life-changing-results skill block. Full-bleed, bokeh highway background, canonical fade keyframes (0-1%-6%-7%-100% on 48s loop), single amount visible, no overlap, "More Results" link to /about-us/our-results/, no eyebrow.
  10. Image height fix (Turn 15): WP Smush was rewriting img tags with lazyload class and data-src placeholder plus inline aspect-ratio style overriding object-fit:cover. Fixed by adding no-lazyload/skip-lazy/loading=eager/fetchpriority=high to both split images and hardening CSS with !important overrides for inset/width/height/aspect-ratio/object-fit. Trucking section: Red semi grille at dusk with highway taillights. Serious Injuries: Police lightbar at night.
  11. Case type card text alignment fixed (Turn 16): All card titles and descriptions centered consistently across Truck Accidents, Amazon Delivery, Uber and Lyft Accidents, Bus Accidents, Delivery Truck Crashes, Commercial Vehicles.
  12. Final state (Turn 17): Two-card hero added (copy + CTAs on left, compact intake form on right), TOC dropdown from toc-design skill, snippet, sidebar ("Talk To Sam Aguiar" CTA card + trust checklist). H1 dropped from ~46px to ~36px. Full-bleed sections preserved. Sidebar 320px, main content 824px, stacks on mobile. Sam noted hero/first section is still boring.
