Objective
Apply user feedback on the Outlook/Gmail-like category names: remove security from the finance label, replace confusing case wording, split receipts and renewals, and replace vague low-priority wording.
Final Names
- Finance
- Case Updates
- Receipts
- Renewals
- Auto Cleared
Changes Applied
- Replaced Finance and Security with Finance.
- Replaced Case Watch with Case Updates.
- Replaced Receipts and Renewals with separate Receipts and Renewals categories. Current EOB rule uses Receipts.
- Replaced Low Priority with Auto Cleared.
- Replaced Low Priority Senders to Clutter with Auto Cleared Senders to Clutter.
- Tightened message logic so generic security alerts do not inherit Finance unless they also match money/card/payment/billing signals.
Verification
- py_compile exited 0 for /Users/samaguiar/.codex/automations/outlook-owner-triage/apply_gmail_like_outlook_config.py.
- Final dry-run reported no missing categories, no pending rule migrations, Auto Cleared Senders to Clutter already configured, and no obsolete category cleanup remaining.
- Live Graph readback showed no unwanted master categories, no rule assignments using unwanted names, Auto Cleared Senders to Clutter enabled with hasError=false, and old Low Priority Senders to Clutter absent.
- Spot checks: Amex card alerts are Finance + Needs Review; ADP phone verification is Needs Review only; UPS/NTSB thread is Case Updates + Needs Review.
