Session type: Scheduled task — competitive-review-monitor (weekly)
Run date: 2026-05-23
Importance level: Medium
Task status: DONE for this week. Pending: 5 QA decision items (CR1-CR5) await Sam's approval.
What was done
- Ran the weekly Competitive Review Monitor for the Louisville + Lexington PI market: SAIL plus 9 competitor entries across an 11-entry watch list.
- Pulled current ratings and review volumes for every watch-list firm via WebSearch (13 targeted queries), compared to the 2026-05-09 baseline, computed SAIL share-of-voice three ways, ran a SAIL low-star sweep, and refreshed competitor watch items.
- Delivered through all three required channels: (1) markdown report saved to local Codex, (2) the pinned Notion Competitive Reviews Dashboard updated in place, (3) a Slack draft prepared in #sam-channel (draft only, not sent).
- Created this week's run page in the SAIL Knowledge Base.
Key findings
- Quiet reputation week. No 1-2 star review surfaced on either SAIL profile; no confirmed competitor velocity spike.
- SAIL remains the reputation-quality leader — the only watch-list firm with both a 4.9 rating and a 1,000+ Google review base. Share-of-voice ~13% market-wide, ~21-22% among local firms.
- First clean numbers this run for Alex White (~657, 4.9) and Morgan & Morgan Lexington (~1,591, ~4.6) — both read "no clean #" in prior runs.
- Kaufman & Stigger's apparent volume jump (700+ to ~845) is an aggregator-method artifact, deliberately NOT flagged as a spike.
Why the session ended
Completed normally. All task deliverables produced; no blocker forced an early stop.
Problems encountered
- No Google Places API key (4th consecutive run). Tiers 1-5 of the fallback ladder all need credentials that are not in the vault; the run collapsed to WebSearch (tier 6). Per-day net-new counts and a precise share-of-voice still cannot be computed.
- vault.env was not found at either documented path; the SKILL-PRELOAD-AND-DRIFT-GUARD.md preload spec was missing at all three documented paths; post-run-qa-reflection and notion-knowledge-base did not resolve as loadable skills. The task degraded gracefully through all of these.
- Cadence: the run fired Saturday again, and a ~2026-05-16 run appears to have been skipped — this run covered a 14-day window instead of 7.
