Validated field types, current matter values, org-level population counts, and local usage references for the fields Sam questioned: Bilingual_Support__c, Primary_Party_Contact__c, litify_pm__OpposingParty__c, Opposing_Party_Attorney__c, police report fields, Matter City/State/Postal Code, and the related Police_Report__c object.
Key findings:
Bilingual_Support__c is a lookup to User. It is populated on 97 of 16,517 Matters, and current populated values reviewed point to Angelica Vega. It appears to mean assigned bilingual support staff, not a yes/no language flag.Primary_Party_Contact__c is a lookup to Account. It is populated on 135 Matters and is used by the RingCentral context controller as an alternate/non-client contact when present, otherwise the client is used.litify_pm__OpposingParty__c is a managed Litify lookup to Account. For an auto case, it can function as the tortfeasor/opposing party, but because it is managed and generic, a global rename to only Tortfeasor should be handled carefully.Opposing_Party_Attorney__c is a custom lookup to Account, populated on 129 Matters, with no active code usage found. If retained, Defense Attorney is clearer.Police_Report__c object (Investigating_Agency__c, Agency_ORI__c). A practical next pass would stage a reversible Matter layout cleanup: move sparse or confusing fields out of the top Information section, keep necessary fields available lower on the page, and make custom labels clearer where safe. Separately, the police agency path should become a linked agency Party/Account lookup on Police_Report__c, with any existing manual agency text migrated only after review.
