Common Questions

What video sources are supported?

GIF Distillery can import videos that the user explicitly selects from Photos, Files, document open, drag and drop, or share extension workflows.

What file formats are intended?

The app is intended for common local video files such as MP4, MOV, and M4V.

Where are GIF files saved?

After creating a GIF, the user can share, save, or copy the generated GIF using the options shown in the app.

Does GIF Distillery upload my videos?

No. Video processing happens on the user's device. GIF Distillery does not upload selected videos or generated GIF files to the developer's servers.

Troubleshooting

A video cannot be opened

Please confirm that the selected file is a readable video file and try opening it again from Photos or Files.
