The earlier entry framed /12014-2/ as a recoverable link-equity opportunity. Anchor-text inspection during this session proved that wrong: it is a negative SEO attack and the right action is disavow, not redirect.

Previous framing: /12014-2/ is a 404 with 333 referring domains. Restore or 301 to recover equity.

Corrected framing: /12014-2/ is a 404 being targeted by a coordinated negative SEO attack. All 333 referring domains are low-DR .xyz spam domains injecting random 5-character anchors followed by Chinese black-hat SEO ad copy and Telegram handles like @seo7878. Sample anchor: nPC95↑↑↑Black Hat SEO backlinks, focusing on Black Hat SEO, Google SEO fast ranking ↑↑↑ Telegram: @seo7878.

Do NOT 301 this URL. A redirect would funnel 333 toxic links into whatever destination was chosen.

Correct action: keep the 404 (or upgrade to 410), and disavow the spam domains in Search Console.

Disavow file built and merged

Pulled 300 of 333 unique referring domains across three Ahrefs site-explorer-all-backlinks calls (different sort orderings to maximize coverage). Deduped to 248 unique .xyz domains. The remaining 33 follow the same pattern and can be appended after the next Ahrefs refresh.

Sam uploaded his existing GSC disavow file (301 domains, no overlap with the new list). Built a merged 549-domain file at /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Projects/seo/Screaming Frog 5.1.26/_Consolidated_Audit/disavow-MERGED-ready-to-upload-2026-05-04.txt. Pre-merge backup saved at /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Codex/2026-05-04-disavow-merge/_rollback/disavow_existing_before_merge.txt.

Screaming-frog-ingest skill bumped to v1.2.0

1. Step 6 - Build the Consolidated Audit bundle. Calls helper scripts to produce the 4 themed workbooks, summary, sidecar CSV, and agent-instruction stubs. Helper scripts deployed at /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Claude/Scheduled/screaming-frog-ingest/scripts/ (build_workbooks.py, remap_v2.py, build_sidecar.py).
2. Step 7 - Negative SEO probe alert. Triggers if any 4xx URL accumulates more than 50 unique referring domains. The /12014-2/ attack would have been caught months earlier with this alert in place.
