Session Objective

Rebuild the Marketing_Expense__c new-record experience shown in the Salesforce screenshot into a cleaner, controlled expense log tied to the existing Litify marketing source, spend, and vendor spine.

Accomplished

• Live-validated LITIFY_ORG connection as sam@kylawoffice.com.
• Confirmed Marketing_Expense__c exists, was created April 27, 2026, and currently has 0 records.
• Confirmed related live data spines: litify_mktgROI__Monthly_Marketing_Spend__c has 1,028 records and sail_Vendor__c has 320 records.
• Staged local metadata updates under /Users/samaguiar/Documents/Projects/Repos/sail-litify/Litify_AI_Integration_Project/salesforce-metadata.
• Added optional Marketing_Source__c lookup to litify_pm__Source__c.
• Changed Approval_Status__c default from Submitted to Draft.
• Reorganized the Marketing Expense layout into charge facts, receipt/reconciliation, purpose/notes, and system information.
• Added validation rules for positive amount, firm-card cardholder, final-status receipt confirmation, receipt-link consistency, first-day statement month, and statement-month/monthly-spend alignment.
• Updated Marketing_Expense_Log_Access for the new optional source field and removed invalid explicit permissions on required fields after dry-run feedback.
• Updated docs/litify-environment-diary.md and OPS_LEDGER.md with the staged state and rollback path.

Verification

• xmllint --noout passed on changed XML files.
• First dry run 0AfUV000001Vj6j0AC found one permission-set issue: Salesforce rejects explicit permission entries for required fields.
• Corrected the permission set.
• Second production check-only deploy 0AfUV000001Vj8L0AS succeeded with 30/30 components, 0 component errors, and 90/90 local Apex tests passing.
• No live metadata deploy was performed.
