Slick Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Slick ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our paragliding spot finder application.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored hashed, never in plain text).

Location data: When you grant location permission, we use your current location to:

• Show paragliding spots near you
• Calculate distances to spots
• Pre-fill location when you submit new spots We do not store your location history.

Spot data you submit: If you contribute a paragliding spot, we store the spot's location, your description, and link it to your account. This information is publicly visible to other Slick users.

Favorites and preferences: We store your favorited spots, alert configurations, and app preferences (units, etc.) on our servers so you can access them from any device.

Third-Party Services

Slick uses the following services to provide functionality:

• Supabase: stores your account, favorites, alerts, and submitted spots
• Mapbox: provides map rendering. Mapbox may collect anonymized usage data per their policy
• Open-Meteo: provides weather forecasts. We send spot coordinates to fetch forecasts; no user identifiers are sent
• Pioupiou and Holfuy: provide live wind station data. Public data, no user information shared
• ParaglidingEarth: provides curated paragliding spot data

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers.
