What This Session Was About

This session focused on updating Sam Aguiar's master document: "My Communication & Working Preferences." The goal was to consolidate three sources into one clean, authoritative reference:

1. The original preferences document already on file
2. An UPDATE section Sam pasted into the session with new details and corrections
3. Everything stored in Perplexity memory (credentials, phone numbers, technical rules, SEO preferences, workflow patterns, reference layouts, firm details)

The end product was supposed to be a thorough, final-version preferences document that any future session could rely on without guessing. That did not fully happen. The document produced is a working draft, not a finished product. Sam identified multiple gaps and said the session did not do "the homework to nail this." The next session should treat this as a rebuild from the ground up, not a light edit.

What Was Done

1. Memory search: Ran extensive memory queries across multiple categories (credentials, phone numbers, technical rules, SEO preferences, workflow patterns, reference layouts, firm details) to pull in all known context.
2. Draft preferences document created: Produced an updated document at /home/user/workspace/sam_aguiar_preferences.md. This file was shared with Sam. It includes sections on the firm, default behavior, communication and writing style, marketing and branding, website and technical details, CRM and legal tech, and office/phone details.
3. Memory updated: Added expanded practice area scope. The firm now handles slip and falls, dog bites, and gas explosions in addition to the existing motor vehicle crash case types.
4. Model switch: Switched to Claude Opus 4.6 for higher-quality reasoning on this task.
5. Notion handoff export agreed upon: Sam confirmed the session should end with a handoff document pushed to the Claude Knowledge Base so the next session picks up with full context.

What Is Still Broken or Missing

These items were identified during the session but not resolved. The next session must work through all of them.

1. Lexington office street address: Sam confirmed the firm has a Lexington office, but the full street address was never provided. The preferences document currently lists only "Lexington, Kentucky" without a street address. Sam needs to supply this before the document is finalized.

2. Missing phone numbers: Memory has four numbers on file, but Sam said the document is missing "other area code numbers." It is unclear whether additional numbers exist beyond these four:

   • (502) 888-8888: primary / Louisville / Frankfort
   • (859) 888-8000: Northern KY / Lexington
   • (270) 517-4342: Western KY (Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Campbellsville)
   • (606) 532-1372: Eastern KY / coal and hazardous cargo trucking content

   Sam needs to confirm if there are more numbers or if these four are the complete set.

3. API and SSH first preference: Sam wants sessions to default to API and SSH access before opening a browser. This rule is not yet in the preferences document.

4. Skills workflow rule: Before loading or building a new skill, check whether an existing on-point skill already exists. Update existing skills rather than replacing them. Not yet added to the document.
