Sam triggered a scheduled sitemap health check on March 31, 2026. The session expanded into a multi-part workflow: sitemap cache flush and verification, orphan page discovery and hub integration, IndexNow submission, website-rules skill deployment, and a full QA audit of four orphan location pages against the newly deployed content rules checklist.
The original goal was to verify that all published pages appear in the XML sitemap and fix any gaps. Along the way, we discovered orphan location pages not linked from the /locations/ hub, deployed the WEBSITE-CONTENT-RULES.md skill file, and ran compliance checks that surfaced CSS and content violations on all four orphan pages.
RankMath transients were cleared via Status & Tools > Database Tools in the WordPress admin. WP Rocket cache was cleared and preload triggered (March 31, 2026 at 1:06 pm). The sitemap regenerated from 209 URLs to 280 URLs. All four previously missing pages were confirmed present in page-sitemap.xml:
Three city pills were added to the /locations/ page (page ID 30757) in correct alphabetical positions using JavaScript wp.data API in the Gutenberg editor:
Georgetown was already on the hub, linking to /georgetown-car-accident/ (not /locations/georgetown/). Sam confirmed this is intentional because the old URL ranks for target keywords including "Georgetown car accident lawyers," "personal injury," and potentially "Scott County."
HTTP 200 success. Nine URLs submitted: /locations/shively/, /locations/somerset/, /locations/saint-matthews/, /locations/winchester/, /locations/berea/, /locations/mt-sterling/, /locations/nelson-county/, /locations/georgetown/, and /locations/ (hub page, updated).
All 3 orphan pages have webp images in the media library (uploaded 2026/03/24, currently unattached): welcome-to-berea-scaled.webp, welcome-to-mt-sterling.webp, welcome-to-nelson-county.webp.
