Most feedback requests are done automatically. Basically the system will ping a manager to provide their quick thoughts on an employee based on how well they're doing in a particular area.

Requesting Feedback

If you'd like to specifically request feedback, you can! Just click on one of your performance category metrics and you'll be given the option to do so.

Employees can use this feature to request feedback from their managers. Additionally, system administrators can use this to request feedback from an employee's manager as well.

Occasionally, you'll receive automatic messages asking if you'd like to request feedback from your manager. This helps to keep the feedback loop going without you having to remember to ask for it!

Giving Feedback

Other than automatically being asked for feedback, managers can elect to give feedback manually. On each employee's profile there is a feedback section. Here, you can write quick pieces of feedback for them. Optionally, your feedback can be set to have different visibilities, including or not including specific team members.
