Scalp Analysis as Authority

The scalp analysis is your opportunity to establish credibility and show your expertise. You are not just looking at their scalp; you are diagnosing and creating a treatment plan. We use a 3-light system to thoroughly evaluate the scalp's condition.

Why the 3-Light Analysis Matters

We must be aware of these conditions because the scalp is the foundation of healthy hair. Buildup suffocates follicles, inflammation disrupts the growth cycle, and sensitivity dictates which products we can safely use. By diagnosing these issues upfront, we customize their treatment and prove that our service is a clinical necessity, not just a luxury.

The Pre-Service Analysis Script

Step 1: Opening + Guest Concerns

"Before we begin, is there anything you're noticing or concerned about with your scalp or hair lately? Things like dryness, shedding, or sensitivity?"

(Listen fully, then acknowledge with calm warmth.)

"Thank you for sharing — let's take a look together so we can better understand what your scalp might be telling us. I'll be using three different light settings to check your hair density, sensitivity, and any follicle blockage. You're welcome to hold this guide — it helps you see how your scalp compares."

Step 2: Light 1 — Regular Light (Density & Scalp Type)

(Turn on the regular light and begin scanning the crown and sides.)

"This first light is our regular lens. It allows me to see your overall hair density and determine your true scalp type. Right now, I can see that your scalp leans more [dry / oily / balanced]. I'm also looking at the thickness of the hair strands coming from each follicle. A healthy follicle should have 2 to 3 thick strands of hair."

Step 3: Light 2 — Vein/Sensitivity Light (Inflammation)

(Switch to the second light setting.)

"This second light allows us to see beneath the surface. I'm looking for any visible red veins or pinkness. When we see veins like this, it's an indication that your scalp is sensitive, inflamed, or holding tension. Sometimes this means you might have sore spots. Because I see some sensitivity here, I'm going to customize your treatment today using our [Triple X / calming] products to soothe this inflammation without causing further irritation."

Step 4: Light 3 — UV/Purple Light (Follicle Blockage)

(Switch to the UV/purple light setting.)

"This final UV light is crucial—it highlights exactly what is blocking your hair follicles. See these glowing areas around the root? That is buildup. It can be from natural sebum, dead skin, or leftover products like dry shampoo that contain silicones and sulfates. When the follicle is blocked like this, it suffocates the hair root, which can slow down growth and lead to thinning or shedding over time."

Step 5: The Treatment Plan (Planting the Seed)
