Nodes (or operators) are the basic building blocks of TouchDesigner. Each node does one specific job, like generating an image, processing sound, or holding data. By connecting nodes together with wires, you create a flow of information where the output of one node becomes the input of another. Nodes are color-coded by family. Learning how these pieces fit together is the core of TouchDesigner: it’s like patching LEGO blocks that can move, animate, and interact in real time.
