“Chevie!!!” The young princess ran towards the prince upon seeing him at their usual meetup spot. “Remember the promise we made? You said you will accompany me to the Christmas Santa shop and wear the costumes with me!” Rosalines didn’t wait for Chevalier’s response. She had already begun tugging onto his arm sleeves and dragging him to the Santa shop.

Chevalier furrowed his brow in annoyance, but didn’t shook the young girl off. He hated the idea of dressing up in weird costumes that would definitely attract more unnecessary attention on him. However, he could not really find it in his heart to refuse the young girl’s innocent request. Maybe he could just stand in one corner and watch Rosalines wearing the costume. Yes, that would be better. That was what he wanted.

However, the young boy soon found himself standing beside Rosalines, wearing a matching Christmas outfit with her. “Uwah so sparkly!” Rosalines beamed in delight while twirling around like a princess that she is. The shopkeeper had dressed her up in a Christmas tree outfit while Chevalier was wearing a Christmas wreath outfit. Chevalier thought that the design was unnecessary, ridiculous, and atrocious. He hated how the shopkeeper was shaking while helping him into the outfit. He hated that some customers were already openly staring at them. Last but not least, he hated that he agreed to this.

And yet for some reason, the smile on Rosalines’s face grew even bigger when she saw Chevalier’s outfit. “Chevie, we are matching now!” She grabbed onto Chevalier’s hand and led him to the mirror beside them. Now that they were both standing side by side in front of the mirror, Chevalier could definitely see that they were matching.

Instead, what caught Chevalier’s attention was not the outfit, but the bright smile on Rosalines’s face. This was supposed to be a horrible idea. And yet in this moment, Rosalines looks so adorable.
