This policy applies to all ChangemakerXchange staff, facilitators, hosts, and community members, male and female, and any violations will result in prompt disciplinary action up to and including termination and expulsion from the community. As of January 2020, we will include this policy in the Confirmation Form and ask participants to sign it and return it to us (template at the bottom of this page).

Reporting incidents

ChangemakerXchange strongly urges staff, facilitators, hosts, and community members to report any incident of harassment or discrimination to the ChangemakerXchange team and should not feel obliged to report to an immediate supervisor first. Applicable law prohibits retaliation against any staff, facilitator, host, and community member by another or by the company for using this complaint procedure or for participating in any aspect of a harassment or discrimination investigation. Any reported allegations will be investigated promptly, thoroughly, impartially, and to the extent possible within the investigation, confidentially.

ChangemakerXchange encourages team members to voice any questions or concerns about this policy to the ChangemakerXchange team. We have established a secure email address (wellbeing@changemakerxchange.com) to relay any concerns about the above at ChangemakerXchange or any matters pertaining to allegations of sexual harassment or discrimination, which will be followed up on immediately and appropriately. Complaints or other information about potential misconduct reported through these channels are investigated, including with the assistance of outside experts as needed, and corrective action is imposed where appropriate. ChangemakerXchange will courteously treat any person who invokes our complaint procedure, and handle complaints confidentially to the maximum extent possible. Making a complaint will in no way be used against the person or have an adverse impact on the individual’s engagement status in the community.
