How three words can save a life

Street addresses or the 'closest dispatchable address' do not always point to the right location or entrance, and many parts of the world do not have an address, like parks, forests and waterways.

what3words is an easy way to identify precise locations. Every 3 metre square in the world has been given a unique combination of three random words: a what3words address. For example, a hiker in trouble in the vast Berchtesgaden National Park could give the what3words address ///relives.outpaces.envy to describe exactly where to send help. It's much easier to say a what3words address than to try and describe a location based on landmarks in an emergency.
