My Food Philosophy
Food is memory. It is heritage. It is a story waiting to be shared.
My philosophy is built on the belief that
the most powerful dishes are the ones woven with history, heart, and a sense of place. I don't just cook Malaysian and Peranakan food—I strive to preserve its soul.
I respect the balance of flavors-the harmony of spicy (pedas), sour (masam), sweet (manis), and savory (lemak)-that defines our cuisine. But more than technique, I cherish the stories behind every recipe: the generations of Nyonya women who perfected laksa, the bustling hawker stalls of Georgetown, the humble ingredients transformed into something extraordinary.
Now in Japan, my mission is to bridge cultures through taste. I believe in:
For me, cooking is a return to roots. It's an act of love, and every dish I serve is an invitation to taste that love.
