I've been building on Ethereum since 2016 and have been involved in quite a few open source projects, startups and initiatives over the years. I have a background in electrical engineering and naturally started my journey in crypto near the protocol engineering side of the space. I was a primary contributor in a peer to peer electricity marketplace product built on Ethereum in 2018 which has subsequently become a well referenced piece on micro-grid blockchain enabled energy management.

During this time I co-founded (and exited) two blockchain startups. One in the edutech space that has gone on to raise multiple rounds of funding from the top University in the southern hemisphere and the other in the healthcare space that has piloted on-the proactive incentivized behavioural healthcare with over 10k people.

In 2018 I realized that the main use case for Ethereum, at least for the next few years, was going to be purely financial in nature. Not knowing enough about finance to really make an impact in the space, I decided to get a Masters in Financial Engineering. Subsequently, I've been involved in many DeFi projects and hackathons and side projects building products including Interest rate swaps, portfolio rebalances, Forward rate agreements, highly leveraged contracts for difference on stable coins, Tokenized intellectual property and decentralized BTC hash rate derivatives.
