We are excited to announce that Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture will host the NASA Space Apps Challenge, the world’s largest hackathon powered by NASA.
The event is hosted by Code for Yamaguchi, a tech community with the mission of "supporting challengers with ties to Yamaguchi Prefecture," engaged in various activities including using IT to address regional issues.
山口の地やバーチャル空間から世界に挑戦しよう！
NASA（アメリカ航空宇宙局）が主催する世界最大級のハッカソン「NASA Space Apps Challenge」が、山口県宇部市およびバーチャル空間内で開催されます。
主催は、"山口県にゆかりのある挑戦者を応援する"をミッションに掲げ、ITを使って地域課題を解決することをはじめとしたさまざまな活動を行っていくためのテックコミュニティ「Code for Yamaguchi」です。
The NASA Space Apps Challenge is a global hackathon using open data from NASA and partner agencies. Participants form teams to solve preset challenges over two days. Coding is not required—designers, analysts, communicators, and creators of all kinds are welcome.
Teams work together to build data-driven ideas and solutions, whether technical or conceptual. The event is about collaboration and creative problem-solving.
NASA Space Apps Challengeとは、NASAやJAXAなどが公開する宇宙・地球・環境に関するオープンデータを活用して、提示された課題を2日間で解決する世界同時開催のハッカソンです。
プログラミングができなくてもOK。デザイナー、分析者、企画者、アイデアマンなど、さまざまなスキルを持つ人が活躍できます。チームで協力して、データに基づいた創造的な解決策を生み出すイベントです。
