This Privacy Policy describes how the Pivot Chrome Extension ("the extension") handles your data. The extension is designed to be entirely self-contained on your computer.

1. Data We Handle

The Pivot extension works with two types of data to perform its single purpose:

• User-Provided Configuration Data: This includes the "Profiles" (profile name, host, port) and "Rules" (URL patterns) that you create and save. This information is stored on your local machine using the chrome.storage.sync API, which may sync it to your personal Google Account if you have Chrome sync enabled. This data is never sent to us or any third party.
• Data Processed for Functionality:
  • Web History (URLs): The core function of the extension requires it to see the URL of every website you visit. This is done in real-time to check if the URL matches one of your rules. This information is processed locally and is never saved or transmitted.
  • Website Content (Titles and Favicons): The "Live Tab Status" feature on the dashboard displays the title and favicon of your currently open tabs. This information is read from the browser and displayed back to you on the dashboard page only. It is not stored or transmitted.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the features of the extension:

• Your profiles and rules are used to configure the proxy settings.
• The URLs you visit are used to match against your rules.
• Your open tab information is used to display the status on your dashboard.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, transfer, or disclose your data to any third party. All data handled by the extension remains on your local machine or within your personal browser sync storage.
