Session Objective

Remove the final CTA banner from the live About Us page. Sam provided a screenshot of the full-width banner that read Hurt in a Kentucky wreck? Get the Bigger Share. and asked to remove it from the page.

What Was Accomplished

• Pulled the live WordPress About page by REST API. Page ID: 46, slug: about-us, status: publish.
• Saved rollback files before editing:
  • wp-content-backups/about-us-2026-05-28-220218-remove-wreck-cta/page-46-context-edit.json
  • wp-content-backups/about-us-2026-05-28-220218-remove-wreck-cta/about-us-pre-edit.html
• Confirmed the exact screenshot text was not present in current editable content or current rendered HTML, likely due to a cached or prior variant of the same final CTA family.
• Located the live bottom CTA source as <section class="cta">, currently rendering as Get More. Get It Faster. Get It With Sam Aguiar.
• Removed that final CTA section from the About page content.
• Published live through WordPress REST. Final modified timestamp: 2026-05-28T22:03:22.
• Flushed server object cache with WP-CLI.
• Submitted the About URL to IndexNow. Response: HTTP 200.
• Wrote the local publish log: admin/session_logs/2026-05-28-about-us-final-cta-removal.md.

QA Evidence

• Cache-busted live fetch returned HTTP 200 with cf-cache-status: DYNAMIC.
• Live HTML confirmed Hurt in a Kentucky wreck absent and <section class="cta"> absent.
• REST verification confirmed has_section_cta: false, has_old_text: false, has_variant_heading: false, and balanced style tags, 7 open and 7 close.
• Playwright QA passed at 1280px and 390px.
• Playwright confirmed no horizontal overflow, zero section.cta elements, no visible removed CTA text, and commitments block still visible.
• QA artifacts: admin/playwright-mcp-output/about-us-remove-final-cta-2026-05-28/qa-results.json plus desktop and mobile screenshots.
