Shady Oaks POA - 2025 By-Laws Summary

1. Who We Are

• The Shady Oaks POA is a nonprofit association that manages and maintains the common property in our subdivision to protect and enhance property values.
• Membership is automatic and mandatory for all 75 lot owners in Shady Oaks, Johnson, Arkansas.

2. Membership and Voting

• Only one vote per property lot.
• You must be current on dues (“in good standing”) to vote.
• If you can’t attend a meeting, you may assign your vote to another member in good standing via a proxy form.

3. Meetings

• The Annual Membership Meeting happens each year between March 15 and April 15. It’s when we vote on board members and discuss community matters.
• Special meetings can be called by the board or by petition (40% of members).
• At least 15 members or valid proxies are required for official decisions (a quorum).
