<aside> 🛠 This section is about the issues tackled by the development team for this week, and the changes which won't be included in the next release right away.

After last week's performance improvement due to the GC mode change was first applied to our nodes, the timeout seems to have eased a lot. However, due to the abnormal behavior of the miner, which will be described later, a tendency to bounce a bit was detected today (2/11), and a situation where some of Libplanet's patches prevented preloading of nodes was caught, v100103 is prepared as a hotfix, etc. Anxiety elements remain.
Prior to community mining testing, which will resume next week, the development team will prioritize these issues for investigation.
Until last week, to alleviate the block sync problem, our miner was running a rather ugly patch that forced to take a block every 12 seconds without raising the difficulty. Since this was obviously a temporary measure, we rolled back this patch with the official release of 2/11 v100102.

Then something strange happened. RPC nodes receive gamers' transactions and try to propagate it to the miner, but the miner does not receive it and continues to shoot blocks for a long time, then accepts it for a while and ignores it again. This is a similar pattern to last year's selfish mining, also known as 0tx.
Ops reset the forced delay of 12 seconds today to circumvent this issue, but this is a temporary treatment. During the next week, the engine team will intensively investigate this problem to determine the cause.
Earlier this week, the block sync problem of RPC nodes seemed to have been resolved to some extent, so we were preparing for the second community mining test. However, it is necessary to verify the abnormal behavior of the miner discovered today, and we are going to proceed with the investigation of the cause of this abnormal behavior.
The community mining test will continue as soon as the minor code modification is finished.
We are working on a final roadmap that combines stabilization milestones, event milestones, and content milestones. We aim to be able to share this next week.
Valentine's event is coming up. A detailed notice will be posted tomorrow, so please pay attention, everyone.
