  • Hypothesis:
    • The first connection someone makes with a project is the most important
    • Focus on a good first experience
    • Cross pollination between projects isn't organic
    • Could be potential for follow-up after first week when we drop off
      • Greetbot, doesn't set expectations on what to do next
        • Link to the list of projects on the website
  • Next step is active on a channel vs join a channel
  • Majority are joining 1 channel, 50% join 1+ channel
  • Greg: A refinement would be how many join a project channel, definition would be channels with "proj" in title and "#discuss-data-science"
