It’s been a while since I wrote my first article on Brunch in December 2015. I still remember that I tried to do many new things back then, but I was totally lost and I didn’t know where I was heading at the same time. It was the reason which made me write. Every moment I wrote helped me to figure out who I was, what I wanted to achieve and to convince myself that I could do whatever I wanted. And I also hoped that my story with a lost guy would guide other following lost people in the future. Because I believe that people can learn from obstacles which people are suffering from and their decisions, not from others’ success which must be already very biased when it is being written.

I used to use tistory even though I was not a regular blogger. I became an author on Brunch by using my tistory account as a reference. After writing a couple of first posts, I decided to write one article per day for a year. Does it sound possible? I stopped after writing for 200 days, but it was really a great experience even though I couldn't complete my goal. It has been giving me a lot of opportunities. I met a lot of passionate people via posts, some of them are my friends now. I received several proposals from publishing companies. I wrote a book, am translating a book, delivered speeches as a speaker and signed another contract for my second book. It is obvious that it helped me to settle down in Singapore, too.

I am planning to write in English to re-play my great experience from writing in Korean. I am thinking of using Medium this time, but still not sure. Writing has always been a great way to meet new people, new worlds and new opportunities. I am going to start my new journey with English writing soon.
