Our Mission

Why I started Hope Through English

🏠 Where It Comes From

I grew up in a first-generation American household. My parents moved here from India, and I watched them work incredibly hard to build a life in a place where they didn’t speak English fluently at first.

They used to tell me how people would judge them for their accents, laugh at the way they spoke, or assume they weren’t capable — all because they didn’t know English well in the beginning. Hearing those stories stuck with me. It never felt right that someone should be treated as less just because of a language barrier.

And for me, it was personal too. I grew up with a speech impediment, and I know what it feels like to be laughed at or to have people underestimate you because of how you speak. That experience shaped me — just like my parents’ stories did.

🌍 Why I Started Hope Through English

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to do something to help kids learn English — so they wouldn’t have to go through the same things my family and I did.

I started Hope Through English to give others the chance to learn and grow in a space where they’re not judged, laughed at, or left behind.

Because I know what that feels like. And no one should have to feel that way.

Our program is about more than grammar or pronunciation — it’s about giving kids the chance to speak freely, be heard, and believe in themselves.

📚 What We’re Doing

Hope Through English offers free English lessons to students in places where access to quality education is limited — especially in villages across India and remote communities around the world.

We focus on simple, real-world English that helps students introduce themselves, ask questions, and express their ideas — not just for school, but for life.

Every class is a step toward confidence, opportunity, and connection.
