Introduction

Welcome back, we're so happy that you're returning to the team 💜 Returning to work after an extended period of leave can feel weird. We're here to support you settling back in and finding a new rhythm.

Confirming your return date

We will anticipate your return on the agreed return date unless you notify us otherwise. Please give us plenty of notice if this date changes. If you decide not to return to work, you must give notice of resignation in accordance with the terms of your contract.

Building a return plan together

We're here to support you returning back to work. From our experience, we know that some things are going to take some adjusting to during your early weeks and months. You might even feel the need to change some things about how you work. It might be valuable to:

Catching up with your parent buddy

We will match you with a parent buddy, someone who has gone through a similar experience as yourself. They are here to talk things over with and be an additional point of support as you settle back in and find your new normal.

Talking to us about your needs and preferences

Everyones needs will be different and with this in mind we encourage you to feel confident opening up about yours. Don't feel any pressure to come to us with a solution already mapped out, we can get there together.

Flexible working

Working at Pento has always meant having the ability to work flexibly, however it's likely this need is going to feel far more acute today. Our current guidance (Our approach to flexible working) may help you think about how you would like to work. Speak to the People team if you would like to make a part-time work request outside of this.

Leaning on your manager

Your manager will likely be your first port of call if you need to talk about anything or if you need additional support. You can also speak to the People team.
