| 1 | Update on P2 development CC and AP shared latest work to foreground techniques. SMG team were positive about developments. SMG team asked about timeline. CC confirmed this on the back burner for P2 until data resolved, then to revisit to see how it can be most fruitful. Group discussed if there were particular data points that should be used to illustrate each technique. NK confirmed that she was happy for Stamen team to pick examples for OCR and oral history, will send illustration examples for NER, LLMs, wikidata, Zooniverse, and locating photographs. Group discussed whether OCR example should include a transcription error. Agreed yes for the purposes of P2. NK also asked if an additional technique – Named Entity Recognition could be included in P2. Stamen to report back next week. Also discussed how to show Wikidata technique – NK shared a PowerPoint showing this. CC showed first thoughts on secondary (video wall) display. This included tiles of data images as an attractor followed by a map once the interactive screen was being used. Overall SMG team liked direction, but asked Stamen to consider how the screen could not appear static for long periods while interactive screen users were exploring data. Stamen to consider and respond.
