10 segundos app previously had a cash-based reward dynamic: within the live game, the student who answered the 10 questions would earn R$ 15 to use on Google Play and other gift cards.

Over time we realized that this dynamic didn't make much sense to the business. First, it started to get expensive. Also, it wasn't aligned with the pedagogical proposal that we ended up assuming. So we began to study whether the withdrawal of this type of reward would harm the live dynamics and how we could replace it if we could.

Most users said that they liked the cash reward, although some said they did not use it because the gift cards did not interest them.

We realized that the cash prize was not our main value, but the knowledge acquired during the lives. Interaction with teachers was also something highly valued by the students. In Descomplica, teachers are true idols.
