Sample Art – Privacy Policy

Sample Art is designed to work on your device. We do not run a backend service, we do not collect analytics, and we do not sell or share your personal data.

Overview

All data you create (samples, collections, photos, notes, etc.) is stored locally on your device in the app’s sandbox.
The app works offline. No third‑party analytics/ads/tracking SDKs are included.
AI material suggestions run on‑device using Apple’s Core ML. Images are not uploaded.
Excel export (.xlsx) files are generated on-device; you choose where to save/share them via the iOS Share Sheet. The app does not receive a copy of your exports.

Data You Create

Samples & Collections – title, company, color, material, application, surface, size, price and currency, notes, and the sample’s image/thumbnail.

Storage: on-device (SwiftData + app Documents directory).
Photos – saved into the app’s Documents folder for your samples; not uploaded by us.
Location (optional) – if you allow, we store latitude/longitude with a sample locally to help you remember where it was captured.

Permissions We Request (and why)

Camera – take a photo for a new sample.
Photo Library – pick an existing photo for a sample.
Location (When In Use, optional) – tag where a sample was captured.
Haptics/Sound – used for feedback on actions (no permission required; no data leaves the device).
